Cool little shop in a neat part of town. Massive wood fired oven with an open kitchen as you can see everything being made. Started with breadsticks covered in garlic oil. The bread was incredibly fluffy, warm, and had a nice crisp. For pizza I got a pepperoni and added basil and pancetta. The crust was immaculate.. crispy, full of flavor in every bite. Sauce was thin, with a small amount of cheese dolloped on. Solid pie, great service and quality ingredients.

The hubby and I used to come here all the time when we lived in the Sacramento area. Now that we are in San Diego, we always make time to come here for lunch or dinner. The line on a weekend is long, but worth the wait.

What a hidden gem! The place is located in the quaint downtown of Loomis. It doesn't look like much from the front, but it's a pretty good size dining room. Everything was clean and the service was friendly. My salad fresh, crisp, and accompanied by a tasty homemade Caesar dressing and croutons. The quality of the pizza is top-notch. You can tell they make and bake it with love. I'll be back for a traditional pie, though the Detroit-style is a must-have!

I highly recommend the Detroit Pan Pizza #1 with pepperoni, chili flakes, hot honey, fresh basil, and Parmesan. Soft and fluffy pizza bread with a crispier crust. The marinara sauce added on top is so fresh and yummy that I now want to order their Spaghetti Marinara with Meatballs! There's a Margherita Pizza daily lunch special from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday to Saturday for $9.95 + tax. No additions or substitutions. Very thin crust. Pizza cools fast if you leave it out and take pictures too slowly like I do, so eat efficiently. If ordering to go, keep the box lid closed as you're eating to retain heat. I asked what Dita Sauce is: butter, garlic, parsley, and olive oil. December 2024's $18 pizza special is the Polpette Pizza (house-made meatballs, roasted onion, marinara sauce, mozzarella, chili oil, parsley, and Romano cheese). Check Instagram for the Monthly Pizza Special: @il_pizzaiolo Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean with tables spaced apart.

Cheese and rice... this pizza was fantastic! The ambience was beautiful. It had the setting of a wooden cabin up in Tahoe on a snowy night. Great job guys!

Our favorite restaurant in Loomis - an absolute must if you are just passing through even. This is the best pizza around and makes me feel like I'm in Italy. We order the margherita pizza every time we come as the sauce is the star of the show and beyond amazing. You can tell that this sauce is made from scratch and whatever they do it, you can't stop eating this pizza. The crust is crunch and thin with just the right amount of mozzerella and basil. We also have tried the pepperoni pizza, which is equally good but different in flavor, and has a good quick to the taste ... a little more heat in the sauce. Second to that, the meatballs are equally divine. They are soft and pillowy, with no dryness, and cooked beautifully in a lovely red sauce. We loved these and eat all the sauce as well. We've also tried the balsamic salad with which is so simple and so delicious. I wish we could get a bigger serving of this salad as we all like it so much. Likewise, the breadsticks are buttery and soft with a potent garlic topping of sorts and equally amazing. This place is very small so at peak hours, be sure to go early, as they run out of seating...but even if you are eating this in the parking lot you'll be glad you went. My only constructive criticism of this restaurant is they need a better water station area with cutlery for guests as their current setup is small and hard to maneuver when its busy in the restaurant. It's also hard to get someone to give you a fork if you forget at the register but that would never differ me from NOT coming here...this place is amazing!

Ate here for the first time a few days ago, liked it so much went back today. The pizza is excellent!! The crust is really good and they don't skimp on the toppings. We think this is the best traditional Italian pizza in Placer county. You order at the counter but the food is delivered to your table and the staff checks regularly to ask if you need anything. They are very friendly. The restaurant takes you back in time with the music and the overall feel. It's a very relaxed atmosphere.

Best pizza I've had in all of placer so far! The freaking olive oil is so delicious. House made sausage was everything. Really loved all the flavors the sausage brought onto the pizza. Number 5 - Salsiccia was definitely one for the books!! Really impressed with the quality of the dough. It reminded me of NY style pizza where the crust is thin, crispy outside; soft and chewy inside. I love it. Service was great! Small and quaint space in the middle of old loomis.
